WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Some of our sessions at Saturday Respite include public outings. This gives our young people the opportunity to broaden their social interactions, develop problem solving strategies and ultimately increase their independence within the community.
In addition to this, we provide trips to enrich our young people with new experiences and undertake exciting activities that accommodate their interests.
We predominantly make use of public transport when running these sessions. This enables our young people to become more confident when travelling in public. It also gives us the opportunity to promote road safety awareness.
Since our service began, we have provided a range of trips that our members have thoroughly enjoyed. These include:
Cinema, Bowling, Laser Tag, Trampoline park, Restaurants, Leytonstone Fire station,
Woodrow – Activity centre.
